epic fail

Sooooo my first attempt at quitting I lasted 2weeks before the depression and anxiety kicked in, this attempt I lasted 2days!! Why did it all happen quicker this time?  Is it because I was more aware of it? The cravings were worse my little nicotine demons were worse, not sure here to go from here,  all the planning in the world isnt getting me thru, feeling abit disheartened

Hang in there beccyboo. Try to stay positive and don't feel like you have failed. I'm sure most of us try to quit several times before you can quit for good. Im into my second day now and whilst im finding it really hard, cravings are the worst ive had, im really committed to seeing it through this time. Hope you give it another shot!! Good luck.

Good on you for trying again and not giving up!! I'm on my 3rd attempt to quit (tried twice last year with hypnosis lasted 3 months), but I think the 'set back' can actually be helpful with your forever quit.. Remember that feeling when you decidied to light up again, if your like me it was failure and the smoke wasn't even worth the hard work id gone through to quit. Remember those moments and use them to your advantage. im using 16 hr low mg patches and nicotine gum when I really have a craving and it seems to be helping a lot!! It's not easy and a lot of self discipline is needed that's for sure. And if you've done it before, you will do it again!!! All the best

Disheartened is a feeling I can relate to after 4-5 attempts to quit. However I have always been determined to just try and try again. As has been said each time we quit helps us better deal with the next. Staying positive is important, don't beat yourself up, we have all been there. I too would recommend NRT, I am using patches and although I still need to be strong they help heaps. You CAN do it if you really want to, stay positive, stay strong, use this site for support and WIN.

Good luck beccyboo!!

I did exactly the same and I felt like I had let myself down. I jumped straight back on the quitting track. You can definitely do it... We are all going through this journey together:)
