2 weeks smoke free

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 20 Jan 2014

Today is 2 weeks smoke free. Have had more cravings today than any other day so far, it has been really difficult. I can't wait to feel like a non smoker and be Normal, not an ex smoker consumed by these frustrations and cravings. I know it will get easier, just a bad day I suppose. Am doing NRT and also wondering how long people suggest I do it for? Keep it up everyone!!

Hi Kristy C

Believe it or not I have found a total absence of nicotine to be working best for me. I am at day 22 & still get the occasional craving/anxious moment but I find distraction & plain water an effective course of action. When I used patches I had more frequent cravings.

I have read that as the nicotine leaves your body your cravings lessen, the best thing I have found is to stay away from temptation & that seems to be working so far. Good Luck
