Dirty
I stopped buying packets of cigarettes 3 weeks ago and now just pay $1 to random people on the street to buy 1, every second day or so. I have also smoked butts from ashtrays in desperate times. This is dirty and has to stop!!!
what have you been reduced to i hope you only smoke your own butts yeah it is time for you to stop nicotine has got a grip over you, well i hope you can stop for your own health.
Hi Private , stop whatever you are doing, you are right it is dirty as you say yourself. You are way better than that. I hope you do decide to quit and stick with us here, it is a great support.

Hi Private, when I started on this quit journey I had a few days off work, and when I had to go back, on day six I think, I suddenly had a strong mental image of picking up a work mate's butt and smoking it while no one was looking. I threw my lighter out then because I knew I wouldn't be able to resist. So I can certainly understand where you're coming from. Sometimes I still look at those butts and think what a waste. Crazy bloody addiction hey. I'm now over four months smoke free, and feeling stronger every day. All the best with quitting, stay strong.
Thank you Dottily, that makes me feel so much better!!! I bought 1 this morning on the way in to the office but I won't go near the smoking area at work today, I can do it!
Hi Private, you will do it. You are so close to stopping, just have to resist that one on the way to work. I found what really worked for me in the early days was just thinking I won't give in now, but if I still feel this craving later I will. The cravings do pass, and any way you can buy time helps.
Thank you again. I had one this morning and keep telling myself it's less than 10% of what I would normally have had in a 24 hour period, for the last 25 years!!! Baby steps but getting closer. Still avoiding ashtrays... THANK YOU and have a great smoke free day!!!
