All done

Hi all, go team Champix! I'm 132 days smoke free, saved over $1900, ridden 2 mountain bike marathons and a heart foundation challenge. 105 km on a mountain bike from Brisbane to Southport. I'm feeling great. To think 5 months ago I was over a pack a day addict. I started with small goals. 3days, then 1week, then 2, and now double it. Small challenges. How good is it to be free, yeah I still get the urge but they pass more and more quickly each time. All of you can achieve the same, it's the want to do it not the need. I believe the only way to be successful is to want to be able to breath and run and ride and just enjoy the fresh air and to be able to keep up with the kids. Go get help from your doc, I did, it worked. This was the second time round on Champix. I was a 32 year smoker, tried to quit so many times I lost count. The want, for me, is what I believe made the difference. Good luck to you all. Keep posting, it really does help. Remember a craving is just a feeling. Feelings pass! Again good luck to you all.

Congrats Paddy. I too believe the mind and the want to quit is the key!
Awesome to hear you are enjoying life and smashing it on the bike! The difference in being a smoker and a non-smoker is a free, healthy happy life. Well done.
