On day 11 now of my odyssey. Nausea has kicked in and I seem to have about 24 years of trapped wind that I need to belch out! However, even the thought of having a cigarette makes me want to puke. Today is a big one as I only managed to get to day 11 the last time I tried to quit- some 12 years ago. Hay ho- here we go!

Keep going Steve - it gets easier. I had nausea as well - didn't realize it was related to withdrawals at the time and just pushed through it. Week 3 is a bugger but once you get past that you'll be winning. Find the strength within yourself - it's there somewhere and keep coming here even if it's just to read posts to give you inspiration. 11 days is great - you've beaten your personal best ;-)

Go Steve,

Fantastic! you should feel proud of yourself. I was smoking for about 24 years also 20 - 25 day. I am on day 32, cold turkey. Funny I haven't tried cold turkey for about 12 years also. I lasted 3 months back then. I have tried a few times in between but that was with NRT. Cold turkey works the best for me. Good luck Steve, stay strong. You can do it this time.
