Day 48

schedule 17 Sep 2013

This is the longest I have been quit since I was pregnant. Thankyou Champix.

I have missed a couple of tablets lately, mainly because I forgot to take one out with me for dinner and didn't want to take it late in the evening. The lower levels of champix in my blood stream is noticable with cravings being slightly more apparant. It's a good heads up, that I have to be eternally vigilant against smoking with or without champix.

I am doing really well though. As time passes I am getting more used to not smoking and don't think about it most of the time. I think that come the day that I am no longer medicated I may struggle a little, but I will be more than four months quit by then and will have too much to lose from smoking to start it again.

The world is just better without smoking!!

Hi AP,

I missed a few Champix too while I was on them...and yes the intensity of the cravings does rise. I did a month on them and due to nausea I stopped. I am nearly 4 months smoke free thank god. You will be fine without them. Well done it does feel great to be smoke free. There are way to many positives not smoking.
