I have just returned to see how everyone is going and discovered I am 174 days off the smokes thats 8 days short of hlf a year WOW!!! I am on the other side of a tough journey , one in which I am determed never to repeat again.

To all those struggling please keep trying it is well worth the end result.

Not going to lie, yes its hard and yes there is the odd time where I THINK I would like one but all in all I am a much happier, healthier and more productive person. I can now do things that I couldnt before like go on long train trips, have a coffee inside a coffee shop and not get take away and sit in the car, I smell better, and I am soooo much more relaxed.

Go for it you are made of stronger stuff then that cig ok.

Oh thank you MargW. It's so good to hear the positives from someone much further along the journey. I'm day 58, and am starting to be able to to see 6 months as not just possible, but totally doable.

Thanks MargW, 174 days great achievement, it is so true what you said it is hard and it does keep niggling at you when you least expect it. But that expected it was a habit for years of our lives. Being healthier, in the mind body and soul that is what is important. Long train trips, not sitting outside the coffee shop in the winter , yeah this will be my first winter to do that. Well done and thanks for the positive post it really helps to hear from people who are ahead of you.
