I have been quit for 34 days which is massive. I was a very addicted smoker. Hard at the start then easy. Lately I have been getting a few little niggles but they are not serious and I am getting more and more used to not smoking. I am using champix and find that it is the only way for me. But the sleep disturbance is very exhausting.

When I get a thought about smoking, and they are not true cravings, it is easy to move on but I will continue to take champix for another 12 or so weeks just to be sure.

I have woken up with a sore throat the last two mornings. As a non smoker it is less likely to develop into the bronchitis that I am so used to.

Hope everyone is keeping well. I find it really helpful to share and to hear your stories too.

Hi AP, the bronchitis after an infection was just a given as a smoker, wasn't it? And sometimes very frightening. I'm day 58 today, and have had a nasty flu type bug for a few days. Have felt like crap, but my chest is clear! I can't remember ever feeling so good about being sick...

And big congrats on over a month, it's great when not smoking becomes a habit!

Hi AP, well done on 34 days, it is normal what you are experiencing. You get stronger the more you keep going. I had the sore throat also around the month mark, it is all part of healing. I hope the sleep gets better,I used to drink a mug of boiled milk, at night it helped me sleep.I also used relaxing music helped too.

good luck for the rest of the journey, look forward to your posts.
