I am currently on Champix, its helping so much! But today was D Day. I woke up this morning & had 3.5 smokes left. I didnt smoke them, i ripped them up into tiny little pieces so i wouldnt be temped to get them out of the bin later; sad really. All day i cleaned so i wouldnt get the urge to have a cigarette. Tonight i feel seriously crook. I know its a side effect of Champix, but has never happened before. Hopefully will get better. I even tested myself and sat around smokers - didnt even get a craving. I can do this because i cant afford the smoke prices!

Wish me luck people. & any tips muchly appreciated :)

Hi MgahlEather, Fantastic on ripping those smelly cigarettes up, feels good hey. Well today is day 10 for me, each day does get easier. My cravings are fewer, but when I do get them they are so much stronger?? Mine is more a mental battle now. I wonder about the Champix as I gave up cold turkey and felt slightly crook and dizzy on day 1 of no nicotine, I'm started to think it is the withdrawals that make you feel completely different, not so much the Champix?? Anyway we all have to do it our own way. Whatever works for you. My tips that work for me is, I use one of those inhalers, especially driving without the nicotine in it, I just breathe oxygen quickly and give myself a few head spins and pretend it is a smoke fix lol, it does actually calm me. Initially I wrote down everything I ate, trying not to over eat, it did work, I'm also making myself exercise more, this really does help as I feel so flat emotionally if I don't. Keep focusing on how clean and fresh you are, your nails and fingers will quickly go whiter and cleaner within days!! I hope this helps. Good luck and you can do it! ps I have saved $120.00 already :)

Hi if you have nausea a lot while on champix you may be able to get anti nausea tablets but seek your doctors advice about this first.
