Well here I am at 14 days and still smoke free. I just want to tell people here that might be having doubts about their ability to stay off ciggies that if I can do it, you can do it. I have been smoking since I was a young lad in the Canadian army..which is a long time before I moved to Austtralia. I'm 45 years old now, so that makes a good 27 years of cigarettes being engrained into my life. After having a serious lung infection and getting a sample of what life would be like with lung disease, it suddenly became very easy to put the things down and walk away from them. Believe me, life is better without them. Food taste's better, you can breath easier, you feel clearer, you can sleep better. And that little "worry" in the back of your head slowly withers away. That "worry" that only smokers know about. That "am I killing myself" worry. It's nice knowing that I'm doing something about that nagging little worry in the back of my mind. Keep going..and rememeber that this isn't supposed to be easy. Anything worth having is supposed to be a challenge. That way, we appreciate it a lot more. The struggle is a gift in disguise

Congrats Eric. 2 weeks is great.

I too had a health scare 1 year ago and after many attempts this is my time, I too am glad I do not have to have that niggling thought of the horrible health affects of smoking. Keep up your success!
