Go me

Day 3. All good. I kinda freaked myself out a bit this morning, out for the regularearly morning run/walk in Goonellabah, So much energy. Bouncing off the walls, so to speak. High on life or what! Freaked a few people out along the way, sorry. Unfortunately work needed to be done. I over come temptation by avoiding a lot of the other tradies, specially at smoko & lunch. Trying to keep focus & move on. Home without a hitch. Feeling pretty right now. Hope you all are going well for the start of the week. What a awesome feeling to be free of a burden that's been plaguing me for the last 31 years. Why is there such a stigma attached to giving up/ quitting. yeah its hard, but so is mountain climbing, all you gotta do is take the first step. Remember we are all here for the same reason, it's only a feeling & we all can control our own emotions. Good luck.

Hi Paddy. That's brilliant! I've had a few people comment that I'm hyped up, I hope in a good way. I think it's the energy you get from realising you do have the strength to beat the addiction, and to actually enjoy breaking free from it! Well done, lovely to hear you're doing so well.

Hi Paddy, you'll get there. Yeah it is hard. and yeah, people look at you funny when you give up after such a long time. You are probably extremely on edge at the moment. It will pass. The first days are the hardest. But knowing that you are stronger day by day is priceless. Good luck, and dont give up.
