Feeling like a non smoker

schedule 26 Jun 2013

For those of you who are struggling, remind yourself that its not necessarily how many days its been, its when you can get through each minute of a craving then stretching to each hour.  We are all in this together and it is a huge journey.  This is a life changing decision and certainly not an easy one but I find all of your stories inspiring and make me realise that I am not on my own during the hard times.  I got through my first weekend with the kids and found it difficult and my patience was really tested, so I got in the kitchen and cooked.  Ive been reading recipe ideas and look forward to cooking healthy meals instead of smoking.  When I wake up, take a deep breathe and not cough, I realise how unhealthy I used to be.  Is is the best decision I have made and hope you all stick to it as hard as it may be at times.

Hey Mum of 2, your comments ring so true. I find the stories and comments on this site so true. And I thoroughly agree about when you wake up and there is no cough - it's fantastic :)
