2wks cutting down..now 7 days SMOKEFREE

Just wanted to say that today marks 7 days smoke free!!! And it feels like I've have a huge milestone...although head strong my body is not coping catching up. I agree with Converse that you eat yourself stupid...crazy... And still feel like I'm buzzing inside with butterflies but sleep??? What is that?? Having trouble sleeping...anyone got any tips??? Had a warm honey, milk and nutmeg drink last night...helped alittle. Cravings come n go and u battle thru with distraction. My fav thing to do to 'spoil' myself is to make a cappuccino n have some chocolate which is satisfying! Just a row from a block is great! Thankyou everyone for ur posts...they are truely helpful when on this journey. Best of luck to all!

Well done AMD, on a week smoke free good on ya!!! A good tip for sleeping is a mug of hot milk, before bed. Or camomile tea.

Big congrats to u too Converse! This is a hard journey isn't it??? My motivation was the cost of this filthy habit and nothing to show for it...so it was something that I just had to do. My hubby is ever so proud. Even as he gingerly paces round me ... He has said a few times he's proud and good on me. I stopped with the lozenges last Sat... Think that's why my body is flipping out and I still feel dopey in the head...real vague. Quitline yesterday says to keep on with the lozenges but my feeling is that I've done the hard yards without nicotine in my system, why introduce more??? Also said that's why I'm not sleeping properly...so the hot milk will have to do I'm afraid...thks 4 the tip. I am stubborn as any other Taurean....want to do this my way!!!! LOL! Hopefully this feeling will pass soon! Best of luck with ur journey...I've been reading ur posts!!!

Thanks Dr Feelgood....yes yes...I've been thinking that too to cut the amount of sugars...think doing it abit much since quitting to help me thru....shall work on that. Horlicks u say??? Never tried that...shall pop it on the shopping list this week to give it a go.
Be strong and you can get through this. Great for you that you have your hubby to encourage you.
I haven't heard of Horlicks for years and if I remember right, you may need to get it from the chemist but I could be wrong.
Good luck on your journey.

Thanks goonellabah2002....certainly a trying time on this quit journey....the posts on here have helped me quite abit along with my Hubby...great to have that support. Shall see if I can find Horlicks...give anything a go to help to sleep a full night. Best of luck with your journey : )
