Alrighty.... so my "official" quit date wasnt until saturday, however i somehow managed to leave my semi full pack of smokes at work yesterday. It wasnt until i got home that i thought "gee i might have a smoke" well imagine my surprise when i opened my bag and there it wasnt.....! Shattered. Panic started to set in and i almost went for the car keys to drive to the shop to get some, but then something came over me and i calmed down and thought, no, you know what, this is a sign. Im over thinking about how many smokes i have left, should i buy another packet just in case etc... so i was like nup this IS IT! Why wait until Saturday, when i can start today? So, i felt awesome making the decision then :) however............. whenever i thought of going for a smoke, i had to remind myself that i am a non smoker now and need to find something else to do like focus on whats on the telly etc... do something other than smoke. I did buy yesterday the nicorette spray to help combat the cravings - it burnt like fire but certainly took my mind off the ciggie!! haha I am on day 10 of Champix and instead of having a smoke this morning (other than i had none) i had breakfast which i never have and took my morning tablet with no nausea to report! Go Me! I went to work today feeling awesome! So positive and careless about smokes, my day at work was actually enjoyable and i still had cravings but luckily a 3pk of Tic Tacs were on spesh at woolies :) and helped me through. I did though decide to arm myself with the nicorette inhaler to help me through as its still only early days for me but after today (and me working in retail) and geting through a friday was certainly and eye opener for me and only happy days are ahead :)

As for my ciggie pack at work, i had my colleague make them "disappear" first thing this morning :)

Good going that means you were ready good stuff... I think we are stronger than we think when it comes to beating the smokes. I was the 11 days of Champix and quit a day before my quit date. It is a great feeling to be started isn't. Keep positive and be proud of yourself ....well done and welcome to a non smoker club..

Thanks Converse :) Your right, we are stronger than we think but together we can succeed.

Eric, I got the spray to arm myself should any severe cravings set in. No matter what your method is to quit, your always going to have a craving and I wanted to make sure that I have all the options here in case that happens :) better safe than sorry :)
