Excuses

10 days smoke free and I keep getting cravings today. I'm not irritable just low mood. I know some of that is because I am battling a cold. I gotta stay strong because 10 days is just an excellent achievement and I have not smoked over a hundred ciggerettes. I'm having to reread the reasons why I should never smoke again. I'm using nicotene lozengers and only have one when I feel a craving the feeling does go away. I finding I'm addicted to Facebook games lol at least it's healthier than smoking. LOL!!

Hi Chelle,
Great work on day 10,it's the best feeling staying smoke free as the days roll by.
I have to say I also have some days when I have heaps of cravings, drives you crazy, but i guess the main thing is we dont give in and stay strong and focused.
well done !

Hi all, I'm a newbie. No smoke for 4 days now. This is the longest i've ever lasted. I'm going cold turkey as I'm mad at myself for being addicted to such a filthy habit. I smoked a whole packet last Sunday night and decided it was all out of control and enough was enough. I'm exhausted at continually telling myself i'm a non smoker everytime my mind goes there. It's true that the cravings come and u just ride them out. I tell ya my house has never been cleaner, just trying to keep super busy. My big hiccup is i have a sis that lives with me atm and she's a smoker....which is all good. I need to be able to do this with or without smokers around me. The last 12 months has seen me create a new life with healthy eating and exercise. Feel so good about life atm except for this nasty habit. So fingers crossed I can do this. I've noticed my eating has been out of control today....not happy bout that at all. Need a plan of attack. Sorry bout the essay, just getting it all out i guess. Good luck to all we can do this. Can't wait to bury this last bit of my old life.

Well done Rennie!!!
I think the bottom line is we've smoked for such a long that we cannot expect to not have cravings we've just got to ride it out. I've realised that I have more time on my hands now cause I'm not sitting out in the cold wasting time and my life.
Healthy eating and exercise and smoking don't go with it and I agree with you that I'm so angry at myself for doing this. I get that feeling among over people posting we are so angry for doing it.
My eating has it's days of out of control but by upping the exercise and getting on track the next day helps. Any extra weight can be dealt with later on I think.
Here's to you !!! WE CAN DO IT!!!!
