Slipped up

I slipped thought I could just have a cigarette and that didn't happen. I am more committed than ever. It didn't taste good and I realized that I need support and help. This is not just a quick thing to get over. I feel like a failure. I had 12 days in and just threw it away. However, today is a new day and here we go again!

just like riding a bike fall off, and up you get and try again, great attitude. That day in the future when you relize how crap they are seems distant right now but it does happen one day one craving at a time you will get there

Day 12 for me, I thought I could have a glass of wine and be fine. Turned out that wasn't the case and I had 2 ciggies. I'm not beating myself up about it, I just know it wasn't worth it and I am moving onward and upward. It was a slip and as long as thats all it was....you can get back on track. I'm now on day 15.

Hey Moe - you are not back at the beginning. In 12 days your body has got rid of a helluva lot of nicotine already and the healing had started. That is not all undone by having 1 ciggie. You were already getting used to the behavioural changes i.e. not reaching for a smoke every 10 minutes, as well. So you are nowhere near where you were. Start again today and you'll be back at 12 days before you know it. Good Luck!!
