Now a non smoker!

I quit in December 2010 using champix but I picked up again in July last year. I've nearly finished my 1st month of champix and am day 9 smoke free. Quitting smoking at the most stressful time of my life has lifted my self esteem and my confidence... I love being a non smoker but I'm still experiencing strong cravings as soon as I wake up, when I'm driving and when I finish a task. I distract myself when this happens and before I know it hours have passed since the craving.. All the best to all of us on this journey!

You'll do great !!! I did the same a few years in a row, always giving up for a bit then taking it back up.... finally, i've gone 323 days now and hardly ever think about it ! Champix is awesome for me and the only saving grace that works for me... I love being a non-smoker too ! Keep up the good work and every time you get a craving, think about the line up at the smoke shop, I always feel so sorry for them all !

all of you guys, great work, I wake up sometimes at night and think about a smoke, I remind myself you don't smoke so don't feel like that. I am aware that the cravings will be lingering on as I was a heavy smoker for 40 years, many attempts to give up the longest I was off for was 3 months. This time I will stay off, my breathing is already better and I am sure coming up with the winter and all the viruses flying around I wont be at risk with bronchitis. I think it is already an achievement that I get just 4 to 5 cravings a day?? is it an achievement?
