Dark Thoughts 2 weeks into Champix
Hi there, I'm really looking for some advice. I'm two weeks into champix, 7 days non smoking. I would like to say I'm over the moon about this, but instead I'm pretty flat.
I've been so down and having some pretty dark and, dear I say it, suicidal thoughts. After some reading I've seen I'm not alone...
Do I stop taking these pills?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Hi Frankie, I've heard some fairly scary stories about people taking champix, I'm on day 4 and all good so far..... My advise is to call your doctor. Some people have suicidal thoughts while takings these tablets, so please call or see your doctor ASAP.
Talk to your doc as soon as possible. Dark depressing thoughts are a definite side effect, but you don't want to wait it out without seeking professional help. It can get pretty nasty. Been there! All the best, look after yourself.

Hi Frankie, I read your story and could relate to it, I had champix for 14 days just to get me through the first week with no smokes, I have the Nicorette gum, it helps, I am 68 days smoke free, after many attempts.2 years ago I hat to take tablets against depression from champix, so this time I just took them to get me over the first hard week and now I struggle like every one else to stay of the smoke
