3 Weeks and Counting!!

schedule 11 Feb 2013

So it's been 3 weeks since my last cigarette, and I tell you what consciously I don't miss it at all! However subconsciously (in my dreams) I seem to miss them quite a lot lol - so glad I wake up and realise it's only a dream! Haha

Although I still get the occasional craving, I can now easily shrug it off like it is absolutely nothing. :)

Feeling really great about myself and what I have accomplished, despite the hard emotional times I get off people that just don't care what I'm going through... But who cares what they think or say anymore, I'm proving to them that I can do this!!! :D With or without them and their support.

:) :) :) Celebrating good times and rewarding myself is in order I think!! :) :) :)

Absolutely !!!!! - my word, well done. You totally deserve to reward yourself. You are so 'lucky' you have reached the stage where the cravings can just be pushed aside. I am day 3 smoke-free and I am really suffering today.

Oh mind you, some of the cravings are not that easy to just "push aside", some of them make you really want to scratch your skin off with a rusty nail lol.

But it is getting "easier". You have to just not give in. look at what I'm going through - a family that doesn't give a flying you know what and I still managed to get through it. You can too! :)

Hi AnythingsPossible - I know everybody's different but at what stage, around what day did you realise that you were able to handle the cravings better? Yesterday was really hard. Hope todays a bit better. Day 4 for me.

schedule 12 Feb 2013

It was around the 2 week mark. I managed most of my cravings by keeping my hands busy - mostly relieving it by using hand to mouth action (i.e. sucking on a lollipop).

Or just playing some games on the computer, or going for a walk to the shops or something lol. Whatever helps I suppose! Good luck to you :)
