Champix Experience Help
Hi, have completed day 5 Champix and so far, no side effects, still feeling positive I can do it. But, I'm worried that when I move up to the 1.0mg tablets in a couple of days, this is when the side effects will start.
Can anyone with Champix experience help? Is this the way it works? Or, would I have some side effects by now?

My experience with champix was not a good one either....i had no control over my emotions...i felt like driving my car into a tree....altho some ppl tolerate champix others don't.
Champix are great for quitting (for some people)

I started the 1.0mg 4 days ago and I did not get any side effects except nightmares and sometimes a headache but still not very bad and you can get away with it; just try to keep yourself busy and socialize with non smokers friends.

I think the whole idea of taking the smaller dose is to see if you have any side affects - if you tolerate the smaller dose you should be ok to progress onto the higher dose.
Champix worked great for me. My only main side effect was the nausea. On the positive side, the nausea usually only lasted about 15 mins after I took each dose. I worked out that if I took it with a really big drink of juice or water the nausea was reduced. It doesnt suit everyone, but for me it was great, it kept my moods stable and really helped with the cravings. Good luck!!!!
Thank you again. Have now completed Day 10 and so happy to say, NO SIDE EFFECTS!! Earlier today I had to put a cigarette out as it was making me feel sick - never had that feeling before - so hopefully Champix is really kicking in now. On a positive note, I have never slept better since being on Champix and I am also happier and have more energy. (Just thought some people might like to hear something positive about Champix)

Hi pamcure, your post of 7 Jan said you were on day 10 with Champix and you still had had no side effects. How are you going now? Still no side effects? And, also, on which day did you have your last smoke? I only started last night.
