Hi All

I've been a bit quiet lately, as I'm not really sure what to think...

I am very disappointed to say I am not a non smoker yet!  I went back to my Doctor today as I only have tonights table left, he was a bit 'gruff' saying I should have stopped smoking by now.... (my thoughts exactly) however he was pleased to hear I joined 'I can quit'. I now have another 112 tablets, surely soon....

I have had no side effects whatsoever and I'm wondering if this is why there not working so good?

On the positive, I really have cut down.  I can go out for a couple of hours "without my cigarettes" unheard of previously.  With family present I've gone many days from about 7.00am to 4 or 5.00pm and not even thought about a cigarette.  Very proud of those days.

So, I'm thinking it's working, just taking a little longer with me.

Keep positive everyone.... We Can Do It!!

Cheers Pam

There is not a thing on this earth that will give up smoking for you. There are plenty of thing that will help but basically YOU are the one that has to give up, you really have to want to. Spoken by a smoker for 53 years who has been 33 weeks clean.

Pamcure could your doctor give any explanation why the Champix didn't make you give up? Surely he had some opinion. I got the same remark from eric about wanting to stop, but my worry is that I don't really want to give up. I have to give up as I have Emphysema stage 3-Moderate. I am scared that my lack of desire to quit and willpower will stand in my way. I'm on day 5 today.
