Set a date & do it

Well its been one week since I gave up, and it has not been as hard as previous attempts. They do have some side effects (wierd, vivid dreams for me) but the Champix really do stop the urge to smoke. I think setting a date a week before the quit day was a good idea.

On the weekend I visited a good friend of mine who is a big smoker and we had a few drinks. She smoked and it didn't bother me - I know now that I can not have one drag or one cigarette - or I am on them again. I have learnt that lesson from past mistakes. Last time I stopped for 3 weeks and thought "Oh I've been good, not smoking, I can have one". Then its one every time I am with a smoker, then I feel bad for bludging and buy a packet.

Good luck to you all.

Good to hear ur sticking to not smoking even when u are in situations that you would ussually smoke. That's a good sign ur on track and everytime you refuse to smoke it makes you a little stronger i reckon
