This is so hard

Just reached Week 2 today but I feel its getting harder to stay off the cigarettes rather than easier. I thought that by now the cravings would have died down but Im thinking about smoking all the time, even more than when I first quit. Im very close to buying a pack just to shut up the voices in my head and get some peace. Dont know what to do. I know I have to get through this but Im buckling.

just hang in there i had that same feeling last week im just about to reach week 3 it does get better just keep telling urself that having a smoke wont make u feel better fingers crossed

It is hard but it is worth it. Think of the money you are saving and the benefit to your lungs.
Try and put the cravings away as soon as they hit and instead think of how proud you are for beating the urge. Remember just having one is a disaster and something you would wish you had never done.
Stay strong and all the best wishes.

Think about how far you've come so far, and how you don't want to ruin that.. because you know you want to quit smoking.. and if you fall this time, you'll have to do it all over again next time. Once you reach the physical withdrawals you'll realise that your body is getting rid of all the crap, and you won't want to do that again!

Unfortunately I've fallen off the wagon today..was out with a smoker friend and asked for a ciggie. At first it was great but by the end of it I was feeling really sick and dizzy and shakey. That horrible feeling lasted for about 10 mins and made me realise how bad these wretched things must have been having on my health over the years. I just hope and pray I can remember that awful feeling next time I get the urge to light up again.

celine i am using the quit4good system i was a 50 a day guy and its so easy no suffering dont even feel like one it costs around $300 its so worth it i have been smoke free 2 weeks now and dont even crave now i would recomend this to anyone

Have you tried Allen Carr's idea of filling a glass jar with butts and ash, then opening and smelling it when you think you want a smoke?

Tossel, I like the idea of the glass of cig butts....I'm going to try that, thanks
