Reasonably easy with the help of e-cigarettes

Hello peeps..I"m a 43 year old male and I had a ciggie habit for 25 years, this October I'll be celebrating my 1 year anniversary of not inhaling burning plant material.

I became interested in e-cigs through a work mate. I had heard of them before, but it wasn't until I tried his that I thought I'd give it a go. Just for the record, I have never really tried or wanted to give up as I enjoyed smoking so much and being hammered by anti-smoking propaganda actually annoyed me more than anything seeing as I've know since I was a teenager that it's far from the best thing you can be doing to your body. I know it sounds kind of unreal, but from the day I got my e-cig kit I didn't feel the need to have a cigarette, after a few weeks on e-cigs I'd actually tried to smoke a normal cigarette and it was disgusting and greasy, kind of like how it felt when you first tried them. For someone that never really wanted to give up, these things have had a real positive effect on my life and for me have bypassed the try-fail try-fail cycle which i'm sure many people go through until they finally succeed (or fail).

I'm sure there are some people out there that probably think that I'm in denial, and yes I do enjoy or am addicted to nicotine, but then I like a drink and I love a coffee/tea and I live my life enjoying the things that I enjoy, but it kind of feels better knowing that you aren't harming yourself anywhere near as much as you were before. Also, the snag with smoking is that you *are* actually affecting the people around you with your smoke and you do smell like an ashtray (something I can smell now on other people that I wasn't able to before) and now I don't impose my habit on other people.

It's a pragmatic approach really. If I had of really wanted to give up I would have tried and failed a few times, but all the while I would have *still been smoking cigarettes and doing myself harm* and it sounds too good to be true that I pretty much gave up on the spot, but that's the way it went with me, and of all people to be surprised by this I was the most surprised.

Anyway, do what you like to give up, but remember there's something out there now that may have the same success with you as it did with me.

Cheers ! ))

Good on you champ !

I wish i had the chance to go straight from smoking to vaping would have been much easier than what i went through.
