Hi just wanted to share that I am 31 days smoke free. I am currently on holiday in Vietnam and really thought it would be difficult to be on holiday and not smoke but it has been really easy. I did have some stressfull news before I came away - my dog had to have surgery for suspected cancerous lumps and I found out my job was being made redundant, all the day before I flew out of the country and I almost cracked. I asked a work colleague for a cigarette and she was handing it to me when I said "you know what smoking this won't change the situation so I won't have one" and I walked away. I was really proud of myself. ps my dog is fine, no cancer and I have been offered another job so all is good. Stay strong everyone.

Congratulations. Keep at it... Im looking at a plan to give up smoking. Im sick of it, yet it has been my outlet as I dont drink or take drugs... Its become that I have to give up. They all say you have to want to give up. I get that. I actually do want to give up. Its the mood swings, weight gain and not having that sit down with myself I miss... I gave up a couple years back and gave up Tea and Coffee, but I started smoking again, but didnt start drinking Tea or Coffee again. I dont see trying a handful times before as failures, I see them as I gave it a go... I havent set my date yet, but will do soon... Im looking at using Patches as my Doctor has given me a few packets.... Glad you dog is well and no cancer. And you are proving that no matter what, things work out in the end. So double congratulations for stopping the smokes during a stressful time for you. Congratulations on the new job too.
