I am using Champix to quit.I stopped smoking on the 1st of June.Though champix is extremly useful and I could not have done it without them,I am still finding it very difficult.I am coming up to three weeks without a smoke and am still having cravings, especially first thing in the morning, after dinner and more than anything when Im enjoying a wine or three.I have tried champix once before and failed as I was still having a drag here n there to take the edge off,so I didnt give up completely. This time though I have not touched a cigi, though I feel like one all the time.I have smoked for over 30yrs since I was a young kid,so it is taking alot longer to loose the cravings than I thought it would.I would encourage all to give it a go,if u fail try and try again,it is so worth it,my girls are so pproud of me as am I.One of the best parts is being able to run again without coughing and wheezing, and waking in the morning being able to breathe.I must admit Im eating alot of sweets and yummy food because I have given up something I loved,I need to replace them with something I also love.I am putting on a little extra weight but thats something I can think about later.Giving up smoking is much more important.
