road bumps after one month

Hi, guys, I used the patch and inhaler for the first month or so and had absolutely no cravings and found it very easy to quit.  I thought this was because I had decided not to smoke again so after one month I took off the patches. That day I had incredibly strong cravings and didn't have access to any patches.  I've been smoking one to four cigarettes a day since then even though I'm wearing the patches and am wondering how I can get back on track.  (The reason I stopped was because I had a lung cancer scare and to save money).  Any advice would be helpful. Thanks. Catherine

Go back to your main reason to quit and re-focus. Almost everyone here stumbles so don't worry too much, just get back on track and work on it again and again until you succeed.

Thanks a lot. I have made a new plan and hope to stick to it.

Cath JUST REMEMBER ONE DAY AT A TIME you can do anything as long as its for you and you only can do it all the help is fine like riding a bike the first time you fall off so get back on cravings are the same ok you have had a fall or think about having a fall just do something else start riding a bike I'm in my sixty have started riding a bike again no falls yet but hard the first 2weeks but i can get passed the corner of the street now even though we live on a corner block 1/2 hr a night thats all it take by the time you get home to stuffed to smoke just go to bed

All jokes aside all you can do is your best try to remain positive and the money will help later maybe a trip away

Thanks, guys. I've given myself a pep talk trying to get back into the frame of mind I was a few weeks ago. I found it very easy with the patch so it's all in the mind. I took a blow to my confidence when I smoked a few, but I just need to get back on track. I think I will be OK.

Its easier not to stop ,but thats not why we are here .We all need to be strong not just when giving up but also in the far future .We can all turn back into the thing we came from but only courage and continual self control will help .You fell by the roadside now pick yourself up and continue with your journey ,you will get there one step at a time
