So far so good although at this stage I'm feeling like one now. Did anyone have any trouble with the patch? Ii only had it on a few hours and it started to come off; I ended up putting another clear dressing over it!!

I went cold turkey. But have seen other people on this site suggest sticking them on your butt. Seems its a common problem that they don't stick all that well. I'm guessing the pressure of sitting down combined with your undies helps keep them in place. Plus a butt patch is more hidden than one on your arm!!!!!!

Yeah Gayld, on my first 2 days, I felt like one every 5 seconds - not exagerating! Tonight, just go to bed early dude. Can't smoke when you're asleep! NO SLIP-UPS!!!!Stay strong! We believe you can do it ... grand-daughter's birthday just around the corner!!

I can't miss my footy tonight!! I have resisted it so far but if I do get the urge bad tonight I'll go to bed!!

Freakboy, I'll try the patch on my butt tomorrow!

Hello, I had trouble with the patches coming off too, I stuck them on with medical tape. I don't know about anyone else but I never wore them while I was sleeping, it made me have a terrible night. I just woke up first thing i did was put on a patch

hi Gayld Good luck, remember we are all with you!! Didn't use patches o can't help there, but agree with Mickey about going to bed..maybe try and change up your morning routine a little bit tomorrow to make it easier, and i went for lot of walk in the first week or two..away from a shop with no money on you to avoid the temptation to buy any. Drink water when you feel like a smoke, whatever you have to do to distract yourself. Keep reminding yourself that you are stronger than the smokes and your granddaughter doesn't deserve to not have her grandma around. :)

It's 11:10 am and No smokes!!! But the urge is really bad this morning; I'm keeping myself busy; cleaning windows etc!! I don't know if I could do this without everyone here; I did mention my daughters as support but unfortunately neither of them has rung to see how I'm going and so I'm a wee bit annoyed but this has given me even more motivation. You know..."I don't need your help, I can do this by myself". I understand that they are both busy but how long does it take for a quick call or even a text!!

Ok, I've had my whinge, I'd better get back to the windows!! HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!!
