6 Months!!!!!

I have been waiting for this day and it's finally here.  6 months yesterday, unbelievable & it feels great. I couldn't have done it without quite a few of the people on this site.  In fact, I think it was one of the major keys in my quitting so THANK YOU - you know who you are.  I must admit I still (very rarely) think of smoking but it's so easy to shrug off now.  I can breathe, swim without getting out of breath, my skin is healthier etc etc, & most of all my children are so so proud.  I have found strength and confidence I didn't think I had.

The reason I have been successful this time in giving up is that I was ready & I finally admitted to myself that it was up to me. Nobody else could do it for me, no more excuses.  It was damn hard at times & that's usually when I'd get on line here and vent with others doing exactly the same thing.  I have never in my adult life been able to do something as amazing as this which proves everyone can.

So good luck to you all, do whatever it is you need to do to get through. It's a great feeling.
