Woo hoo

Okay I'm a forty year old male. I have smoked for 26 years. The last few years I have smoked a minimum of 1 packet a day. I have never tried or wanted to quit before. I started out cold turkey on the 3rd January 2012. Today is fifty days. $800.00 saved. So far not a single puff nor have I had a serious craving. I really don't know why I didn't stop sooner. I still enjoy a drink. I don't stink and am saving money. I haven't put on any weight either. Life is soooooo good right now.

well done Freakboy, 50 days thats excellent!
I don't why we smoke for all those years and then one day see the light and give up,It's alot of years puffin away, alot of pretty awful toxins we have pumped into our lungs ( scarey thought really).
But hey we're on the right track to a better life.
Saving money, lookin good and being in total control of ourselves..
well done to you :) Life is sooo good....

Good for you freakboy. Smoking is just such a serious waste, waste of health, waste of money and a waste of time. Keep it up.

What a great effort!! Can't wait until I can post I have been smoke free for 50 days....I am on day 3 it seems to be dragging but I am doing fine and you are proof that it CAN be done - thank you ;)

Well done Freakboy. That's a great achievement. Great will-power. I think if you can do this with your will power you can set your mind to just about anything.

yep mickeyj quitting is a great ego boost because as hard as it is you CAN do it, and if your head is in the right space it's not that bad..ups and downs but we can all get there. Well done freakboy..I just logged on and realised I'm day 51, yay!
