day 3 of smoke free

well today is day 3 of being smoke free. its been the hardest day yet. im having strong cravings and i seem to be getting headaches on and off, plus the shakes and hot flushes on and off. i dont know if these are symptoms of withdrawals or not? I so badly want to get in the car and go buy smokes, im hoping im strong enough to ignore the urges

hey tamara3502,
Day 3 well done, actually today will be day 4. Just hang on tight through the crazy bits and you'll be fine.
It sure is one crazy ride, But as long as you don't give in your winning. The days eventually become a little easier, maybe we just learn to control the withdrawals and side effects much better.
I too had hot flushes, It seems to have all settled down for now, I think it's just your body adjusting. Every withdrawal you don't give in to is a victory.
Stay strong and good luck xoxo

I am on day 7 atm and at day 4 I felt just like you are describing.....it does get easier I promise you. (speaking from earlier quit attempts) keep busy and ride out those feelings, don't let them beat you! Stay strong x

I agree with all the comments above. Keep in a positive frame of mind you can do it.

thanks for the comments guys, they really help. my cravings have slowed down alot now and i seem to going into a habbit thing, like when i do a certain thing i would be having a smoke while doing it, eg talking on the phone. i think the habbit moments have been harder than the cravings. this might sound like a strange thing but today when i take deep breathes my body feels cleaner, my chest doesnt feel so clogged up with stuff. i admire you all for giving up smoking, reading the replies makes me feel like im not alone, and when i get an urge to wanna give up i come back here and read what you guys write :) so a big thank you..

This is great to read -- thanks for sharing Tamara and everyone who responded to her. Having a 'near breaker' today myself...
