Pangs and cravings

Hi all,
I am up to day 26 and in the last couple of days, I seem to be having cravings a lot. I am on Champix so I know that I have no nicotine left in my system. I don't really get why I am having pangs now.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Leafy, Im not sure why you would be getting cravings but i find the best way to beat them is just to keep yourself busy. I find having a list of things to do to distract me is much easier than trying to think of something on the spot.. Things on my list include things like: wash the car, do a crossword, catch up on some sewing, read a book, polish the furniture etc. Personally i find doing a menial task that involves a little bit of elbow grease and keeps your hands busy is the best way to fight off strong cravings..
Stay strong and contrats on your efforts so far!

That's it Bubbley - can't believe what i achieved on the weekend around the house. Mowed the lawn, chopped down a wisteria vine, poisoned the lawn grubs, chain-sawed a fallen gum tree, fixed some fencing. My cravings on the weekend (days 5 and 6 of quitting) were worse than days 1 and 2. It's that voice in the head trying to outsmart you. Other options I find useful to avoid cravings at night time are playing games on my i-phone, or just going to bed. Also coming onto this website to remind myself of how far I've come really helps. Stay strong Leafy!!

Hi Leafy- It must be the day- I too have been "hanging for one" last couple of days- Hoping it soons passes, just think of the effort you have made until now, and that it would be a waste to time to start again now! Breathe deep!
Good Luck

Get some eucalyptus oil, lavender oil or any other strong smelling natural oil and take a massive big lungful sniff, it gives you the burn in nasal passages and throat which is supposed to be the feeling a smoker misses most, it really does work for me, good luck xx Oh and ditch the drugs, you don't need them anymore.
