9 days now

When I was thinking of quitting I was not overly confident I could do it althugh the desire was strong.
After the first day without a cigarette I was more confident as it was not as bad as I dreaded. Now at day 9 I know that I can keep going. I hastily push the cravings aside with thoughts of how much more stamina I have and the amount of savings from not smoking.
Hopefully one day those cravings (temptations) will disappear or at least wane. This site is my support and I enjoy reading others stories knowing we are all facing the same enemy.

Good on you Gerry. I'm at day 10 and having the same cravings. Proud that I haven't buckled to them. Distraction is the trick. I was up at 6:30 this morning spraying weeds. 10 days ago the first thing I would've done after waking up was have a cigarette.
