116 days and smoke free then a slip up

Posted in Quit experiences

I was 116 days smoke free and then had a smoke today. I have been using the patches and forgot to a patch on so that may be the cause. But still I am not happy with myself after going so well for so long. I just hope it was that to blame and that I want to resume smoking. It would be terrible to go back now to smoking now.

You can fall but don't ever stop trying to get back up.

So you're 116 - 1, keep going to 117 - 1 and onwards for you, for all of us. Strength comrade

Don't let yourself fall into the trap of thinking that you have failed because you made a mistake for 1 day out of 116... The only failure you can have is to just give up on all the hard work you have done.. So tomorrow is a new day, dust yourself off and 'just keep swimming' (as Nemo would say :-P) if you let your negative feelings about it get you down you can easily talk yourself into smoking, so don't be too hard on yourself and overlook the amazing things you have done.. Stay strong and good luck!!

Keep it up David, you've done a great job so far, who knows maybe you can now do it without the patches.

Thankfully last weeks slip up was that. Still of the patches and also the smokes. It is good to post on here to help others and also to share your story. I can bet everyone experience is different.
