Funny Observation
Funny thing happened on the way to work this morning!
I got off the bus, at the correct stop (as was not reading posts on here) and was waiting to cross the lights and thought I can smell smoke. Sure enough there was a lady lighting up next to me. I thought here it comes the smell I no longer like and sure enough there it was.
This of course was not my funny observation, what happened next was. She had a slight coughing fit. All of a sudden I realised (another epiphany?? Surely not having way too many of late), I used to cough all the time.
I would cough in the morning, cough when lighting oneup and smoking it whilst walking along the street. Cough during my sleep etc. So anyway, back to the lady she was coughing and I was thinking you dill why smoke it if it is making you cough! Well of course, I WAS a dill. Bingo!
Next thing I realised is this, aside from first giving up and that horrible tickle in the throat and then the coughing up garbage for a couple of weeks. I have not coughed. In fact I do not think I have coughed ofr over a month - is this how non smokers live? Not coughing except for when they are sick? How fantastic.
So, then I decided to run across the road (when the lights changed) as I always coughed when exerting any form of exercise, I got to the other side and was breathing not coughing! Hooray!
Anyway, that is it for me. My observations are getting weirder the longer it has been since quit day! Wonder what that says about me? Freak - perhaps.
A happy day to all my fellow quitters.

Thanks for the funny observation Winner. Maybe you should make this your morning 'column'. My day, and new addiction, usually starts here & lately ends here. First thing in the morning its fun to read what weird thing happened to Winner today & at the end of the day I like to read how everyone's going. I should be at work myself but have done something to my back this morning. A friend has taken the kids to school. As soon as the voltaren tablets start working I'll be off.
I have noticed my husband coughing a lot lately but maybe I just notice it more now that I don't. Thanks for pointing that out Winner, I hadn't realised I also don't cough now & my lungs actually feel bigger these days. Winner by name, winner by nature. How's the exercise going? Swim or jog this morning?
JoC hope your back is feeling better. A Winner column - now that would be a sad state of affairs, my life is way too boring to fill a weekly column let alone a daily one. Although I too come here a couple of times a day to see how everyone is going and read up. :)
Was swimming this morning - why does weight not fall off like it used too when I was in my twenties? Or even my early thrities? Not fair. But tomorrow will be a week without a morning sausage and egg roll.
I am giving up habit, after habit here :)

I vote for a winner column too or maybe a face book page lol
You are a bloody legend look how far youve come!!! Say hi to your Mum and Dad for us xxxx
