Well, I have just hit the 72 hour mark since my last smoke and I feel like I'm doing O.K, well most of the time anyway.  The Champix seem to be  helping with withdrawl symptoms and I'm just having to try and change my habits and routines. I went to go outside yesterday after lunch to have a smoke and had to remind myself that I don't do that anymore.  It felt kind of strange.   I have noticed though that since I stopped smoking, I have developed this dry cough that is annoying the crap out of me.  I thought stopping the smokes was meant to make me healthier..lol.  Having a busy 3 days has also helped to keep my mind off smoking.  I was a little worried last night as I had a birthday party in the city and there were alot of smokers.  I must be truthful and tell you that the smell of cigarette smoke in the air still smelled so good, and I wished that it didn't.  But I didn't cave into my desire or habit which ever one it was and enjoyed a night out smoke free.  Here's hoping it just keeps getting easier from here.

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend:)

Congratulations. I had a funny cough the first few dyas. Think of it as all the nicotine being cleared from your body/lungs. I still love the smell and wished i didn;t. The fact you didn't cave in is great you are strong. You can do it you have gone through the worst 72 hours now it's maintaining what you have achieved.

Well done Roseyk especially being out and about so early on with smokers. That is great. Somewhere along the way the smell changes from one of enjoying the smell to absolutely stinking. I have to walk away from the smell now. Only time I think it doesn't stink is if I am drinking. Then it is just an odour.

One day at a time and soon you will be at a week. Keep it up and well done.
