Hi everyone.  I've just been trying to catch up on how everyone's going & there's a few newcomers too.  Great how the group just keeps growing.  More incentive for us all.  I made it through the weekend of camping.  Had the best time. Relaxed by the campsite, went down the rapids, swam with the kids, too much to eat & drink, more swimming and no cigarettes! Thought about it a few times, mainly around the campfire, watching non smokers having 1 or 2 but knew that I can't have 1 or 2.  That was fine, I enjoyed my Baileys instead which was my treat for the weekend.  When everyone realised I wasn't smoking they were surprised but also over the moon for me. Being around smokers didn't bother me in the end, I didn't pity or envy them.  We were all doing what we wanted & that's what going away & relaxing is all about. My daughters asked me (while floating down the river) how long it's been & I said 7 wks!  They both gave me a huge grin, cuddle then pushed me off the lilo. Can't ask for much more than that.  Having said that, I've just finished work & will now handle my cravings by cleaning up the gear after one of the most wonderful weekends. Please keep posting everyone, I love reading what everyone's up to.

Thank you all, so glad I logged in, for some reason day 13 is determined to get in my head, today is the day that I've thought most about smoking, absolutely no idea why. Works always stressful so it's not that, ok this is going to sound weird but it's like, today I miss that rotten taste in my mouth.... dunno must be a phase and I'm waffling again, I know.

Ok now I need to refocus, great job JoC, keep it up, 51 days is a dot on the horizon for me but I'll get there.

Meanie, you'll get there easily! I remember 13 days and it doesn't seem that long ago. The days get faster & that bit easier as your routine starts to sort itself out. I wont lie though, I still have some shocking days where I think I really want one but then remember how dirty & smelly they made me feel & go do something else. Sometimes I just log on here to see how much money I've saved............

JoC, by reading how eloquently you express yourself, it's not difficult to notice what a very nice person you are, non judgemental and appreciating those events like a smile from a child that so often we take for granted, allowing your friends to be who they are and excepting them the way they are, that is true friendship, they are blessed to have you and so are we!
