ARGH!!
Well here I am at day 5 - and so much going on and routine broken and just constantly thinking about having a stupid smoke.
I had dceided to quit in June and then did not, then my dad ended up having a heart attack and triple by-pass and so Spetember 30 became the day.
So this morning, dad was due to have his heart stopped and re-started to hopefully set a correct rythm, but alas no the surgery has been postponed until tomorrow. So have left mum at the hospital and come to work and evertime a 'smoker' passes me it's all I can smell.
One hour at a time Walker - you can do it!

hey hang in there. when you get through this you will realise the challenges that you can face without a cigarette. Maybe today is the day to replace cigarette with food or something - just to get through today.
Good luck.

The cravings do get easier and less frequent. Keep focused on the positives. It feels so good watching that daily counter tick over and knowing you made another day. As you hit higher numbers it is even better. Life $'s in the savings account. Another day without cigs is that bit better length and quality of life. Be strong, don't let the little buggers win! Cheers to good health for you and your Dad.
