I am so happy!

28 days... 4 weeks!

I went for a long drive out to Bathurst and Oberon yesterday supervising a young learner driver. No need for cigs at all, no stress, had a great day. Not once did I have a craving all day.

I didn't even notice till this morning when I realised I went a whole day and I didn't even think about it, I was having too much fun!

What I did have was lots of laughs. We were cracking up about silly stuff like Kanga-walla-foxes and silly bloody wombats, we stopped and revived with some hill walks and a feed at a nice Cafe. But no cravings! Just a fantastic fun day full of energy and great driving!

It is only when I am sitting around doing nothing that I notice it. Now it is more a subltle annoyance I can push aside. The cravings do show, but nowhere near as frequent and nowhere near as strong.

That decsision is important, I have made it, I know this time time that I have quit. That is a big thing to own up to though, but it really does help make that call and change your ways.

All those thoughts and excuses have to be owned up to. Smoking is bad, it does mess with your health, it does stink up your car, clothes skin etc etc...

I don't care that a mates excuse is that his bloody Grandma lived to 99 and smoked a pack a day! That isn't a good thing! Does he expect to live that long just because she did? Imagine how longer or better she would've lived if she didn't smoke, I only met her once and she looked like an old leather shoe that smelt like stale fags and old cats!

Oh yeah... Something else too that might help people. I don't wish to offend or cause people to turn away.... But let's just say 'everything' (read - 'sex') is better with more energy and stamina!

Stick with it everyone. Power to us all!

Firegod, sounds like your winning buddy, great stuff man!

I noticed we quit a day apart, i'm 35 days, actually 36 i logged on a day later.

Good inspiration, i use to jump on here 2 or 3 times a day, now every 2 or 3 days, between you guy,s and the aid of a patch here and their, i am also winning and really feeling great, now i understand what non smokers were talking about when they made the decision to quit whilst i was still procrastinating about it!

The remarkable difference i very much enjoy is the quality of sleep i now enjoy.... thanks to all :)
