Week 2..

schedule 5 Sep 2011

I quit smoking on Tuesday the 23rd of August, after smoking for 12 years. I have quit so I no longer need to use my asthma puffer at night, have more energy and generally feel better about myself and my new healthy lifestyle.

In the last two weeks, I haven't had many intense cravings (as I never smoked at work, only after work and weekends) though have been eating A LOT. In week one, I depended on the big bowl of butterscotch lollies on the coffee table (where the ash tray used to be)... sucking on one whenever I wanted a smoke. Week 2, and I'm eating less of them - but baking alot of cupcakes (and I NEVER used to bake) lol

I'm currently avoiding the pub or social situations where I would normally smoke over a coffee etc.

The quit brochure has helped me, feel a bit better knowing that in two weeks time I should be through the worst of it! Also the encouragment from my parents and friends has been overwealming and helps to keep me strong! Keep up the good work everyone :)
