Day 30!

Wow, today is my 30th day of being an ex-smoker! I feel great and am not longer getting the dramatic mood swings like I was before.. I went out for the first time last night as a non-smoker, armed myself with a packet of Juicy Fruit in case I had a craving.. I couldn't believe that apart from the weird tempting smell of a smoke a couple of times, I did not want a smoke!
Once I got home, I was getting ready for bed when I realised that my clothes and my hair did not smell of smoke - for the first time ever after going out!! I felt so 'clean' and proud of myself for having made the greatest and most challenging change of my life - and sticking to it!
For those just starting out on their quit journey - it does get easier, and you CAN do it!!

Way to go, are/did you use patches?
I'm using them haphazardly but unsure if they do anything, good for you though, well done i find jumping on here from time to time really helps the process!
Thankyou

Go Violet! Fantastic results! 30 days and still strong. A whole month! I'm actually starting to move well away from others smoke. First couple of days I would smell a cig burning and my nose would turn my head in that direction, now I find when I notice it it smells a bit nasty and bitter. I got a nice smell of Spring Jasmine this morning, now that is so much better!

Fantastic Violet, that's so great! It's so wonderful to read your story so inspirational.

Thanks guys! You all help me too! Rocky-rush, no I am not using patches, I quit cold turkey. I feel that continuing to put nicotine into your body (feeding the craving) only draws out the withdrawal process and still isn't good for you! However, I realise that heavy smokers really need that bit of extra help - so whatever works for you!
