51 Days smoke free

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 14 Sep 2011

Hi Fellow Non-Smokers, quitters and soon to be quitters,I have reached 51 days cold turkey and i feel great. I have the occasional times where i feel inpatient and antsy but i tell myself to cut it out as its only from lack of nicotine, so instead i chew on PK chewing gum.We are lucky to live on 6.5 acres, we have a pet cow, chickens, one lamb and 2 horses. Not that they never got attention, but now i find myself outside every spare minutes doing something with them. My level of fitness has increased dramatically. I never wanted to join a gym but now im considering getting myself in shape by joining a gym. Although im saving lots of money, the health and fitness are what i find the best. I worried for a while that i was going to fall victim from a fatal heart attack as the smoking was zapping my energy and making me lazy. I feel i have my life back. So keep pressing on guys. You can do it. I know i still have a long way to go but i feel great

Hi Bryce,

Thanks for sharing your journey.. I am 22 days smoke-free after quitting cold turkey and feel very much the same as you.. I used to be so lazy when I was a smoker, would come home from work, make a coffee and sit in front of the tv and smoke. Disgusting habit. Now, when I come home I go outside to water the garden, or throw the ball around for the dog. I look for activities to keep me busy and am loving life like I never have before. Cheers to feeling good!!

Hey. I'm only 40 Hours or so into quitting. Its good to here your story Bryce, I was kinda wondering what it would be like at around 1-2 months. Thanks too Violet. This kinda makes me feel a lot better about being off the smokes. I'm very keen to keep off them and am doing so under my own decision. I have found myself wondering what tomorrow will bring as a non-smoker. I'm attempting to change my lifestyle to be as far away from the old bad habit me as possible. So far am on track. I just realised today my clothes smell like cigarettes and am washing them all, there's heaps :) . Any ways good to read this story, sounds like you guys are truly on track.

Hey Bryce, how is it going?

How many days now?

Did you you do the Gym thing.

How's the cow, what type is he/she?

I'm doing a little research in the area of non smoking and collating some information on the similarities we now non smokers have in common, your thoughts would be appreciated and not go un noticed.
