support or sabotage????

I have been off the cigarettes now for almost 4 weeks, and feel I am doing really, really well. I have the full support of my husband, which is the most important thing for me, but have been fairly disappointed with the attitudes of my extended family. Attitudes ranging from, disbelief that I'll actually do it, eye-rolling etc etc. I even had the comment today, that the first 4 weeks is easy, but I can expect it to get really hard from here on in. What is wrong with these people??? Anyone else expected support from family, and ended up feeling the opposite? I am regretting telling them I have even made the attempt to quit now... but feel determined to prove them wrong.

Some people just like to see others fail, and jelousy is a curse. Prove them wrong and dont be discouraged by there negative comments Ive been quit for 4 months now and it does get easier and easier I was a 25 pack a day smoker and had been smoking for 30 years, and I too have encountered negetive comments from a very close friend of mine, who is still a smoker. She commented (What do you like doing now you dont smoke you dont drink). I do still have the occassional glass of wine so why did she have to make that comment I do Wonder??????? It just makes me more determined to stay quit, because I know for a fact that she would love to quit but just dosnt have the guts to take on the challenge. Your a winner stay strong you can do it and do it for yourself. Who cares about their negetive comments, and when they want to discuss your quit journey say Im doing fine and quickly change the subject to something else. Goodluck you can do it.
