So I decided to quit on New Years Night at 12pm. I am feeling great about quitting. I really do feel the benefits. However being only 21 my whole social network is surrounded by smokers. Work (Smokers), going out(Smokers), the only time I seem to not be around cigarettes is when I am sleeping. Although I am around smokers I feel better in myself knowing that I am saving money and getting healthier. I have been smoking for 5 years and it is difficult I wont lie. I have the craving for one now. But I know Im stronger than that. The main reason I gave up was to save money. I am placing the money I would usually spend on cigarettes to a holiday at the end of the year. It will be worth it. My advise is try have a target to aim for. Either money for holidays or family, or being able to run in the park with your kids. Don't forget this goal. Keep strong

Good on you rockinrob. I wish I stopped when I was 21. I'm now 31 and am at 10 tens smoke-free too.

Rockinrob stick with it. It's so much harder when you're young & out socializing. I've given up after 44 years to save money too & it's working. I've booked a holiday for October so I've got to save now. I find that champix is working for me & nicobate lozenges for those sudden cravings. It does get easier. Just keep your goal.
