Looking for help

So this is my third time trying too quite again
I lasted 6 months the first time and I really want too boot the habit. Just looking for some tips an tricks on how too beat it
Hi Matt,
The best advice I can give you is to read Allen Carr's 'Easy Way To Stop Smoking'.
Buy a copy and read it from cover to cover - it will make this your easiest and probably your last attempt to quit. I could not have got this far without the book.
Good luck!

I will post the link for a free e-book by Allen Carr, so you have no excuses!

Hello and Welcome!
Lately , we invented an acronym for FEAR, which is why most people are afraid to even try quitting smoking. When we turn it to FORGET EXCUSES, ACCEPT REALITY we not longer have reason to put off quitting smoking.
Remember that there are no reasons to smoke.....smoking never did anything for us, we only imagined that it did because we felt better after lighting up and sating the nicotine addiction. We are stronger than nicotine, and we CAN quit when we truly WANT to. I think all want to, but like I , didn't believe that we could. Sites like this endorse that we certainly can quit smoking. BELIEVE you can, and you will!
Not one puff ever....N>O>P>E is the other acronym to remember. Just one leads to thousands, and thousands of $$$$ years later.
You must have felt terrible after starting up again. Did you not appreciate the freedom or were you still using willpower to abstain?
The mindset makes quitting and staying quit easier and eventually without thought.
Learn and love being a non-smoker, after all, do you know of anyone who wishes they smoked?
Enjoy the book.

Best of luck im on day 3 now and I quit once before for 10 years 🙂 I'm just trying to keep busy lol and not eat . Been going out for lots of walks as well.

All I can say, is keep on quitting. Don't give up on quitting. I have had many attempts. It happens. Get up, dust yourself off, and do it again, as many times as it takes.
The Allen Carr book is a MUST and I strongly suggest reading posts from this forum on a daily basis if you can (you can keep busy here for hours). Take deep breaths upon each urge, keep busy and go to bed early! Keep thinking YOU CAN DO THIS! Other people can do this and so can you!
There is no one recipe for this, as everyone is different. Good luck Mattmc.

Hi Mattmc,... I don't want to be pushy in any way but just wondering if you are okay and want to tell you that YOU CAN DO THIS!! I think of some people that are kinda new (like me) and who have tried before (like me) and I want to say that I thing if you keep on trying,... it will stick and when it does stick, it will be easier than any other time you tried. So, keep on trying until it "sticks".
Hope all is well....

Hi there mattmc my number one action in quitting for good is " never give up on giving up smoking" I have tried it all and given everything a go and I can't say it was just one thing that worked one magic wand as such. It came down to learning from two things one being previous attempts what worked for me and what didn't and secondly timing and that felt out of my hands. Read through the stories here I'm sure you will find many tips. Well wishes and stick with us 😊

If Alan Carr fails, Gillian Riley how to stop smoking and stay stopped for good.
The best techniques ever for making real life decisions.

Hello Mattmc, checking in,... DON'T GIVE UP. I am not sure where you are in your quit,.. countdown to quit day? Already "IN" the quit? In any event, as I said before keep on trying,... it will stick and when it does stick, it will be easier than any other time you tried. So, keep on trying until it "sticks".
It's so odd, now that I have become a little successful, I want to bring everyone along with me!!!
