Hey everyone

How's is everybody doing with the no smoking journey.

It's a hard one to beat but you can do it with the right mindset.

I'm 128 days smoke free. Had 2 slip up over a month ago but that was it.

It does get easier as time go's on.

How did everyone start there journey?

Cold turkey?

Patches? Gum?

Interested to no how you all started

I myself went cold turkey

Just get straight into it and don't look back

Hi Interested, 128 days that impressive and inspiring. I quit cold turkey 24 days ago. Live on my own with my dog on the coast. Am working from home which is nice, but my proximity to my kitchen and fridge is making my constant need to nibble a bit of a problem. Am becoming more active though which is nice and have spoiled myself with fortnightly massages from the money Ive saved from not smoking.

Hi Gemma23. To answer your question, I quit cold turkey 1969 days ago and never looked back. With nearly $50 000 saved from the ash tray, every day along the way was a huge win. Got over the weight gain and spent $4200 on bling because it was just overs from the ash tray... These days it must be about $35 a day for a packet. You wouldn't believe how many designer shoes and watches I have bought along with the diamonds and still have $42000 left in the overs tray. Mortgage is looking healthier too. Win, win...

Hi Gemma. I also quite cold turkey almost 2 years ago. Looked into it on another site, saw i COULD DO IT and here I am. This site is so much better where we can read the journeys others have taken and to offer advice based on that. Any way you quit smoking is a good one. Nicotine holds our feet to the fire, but the heat and smoke is what kills you. (tar and chemicals)

I am so grateful to have found the belief that I could quit smoking and am happy to help anyone else find that belief and their way to freedom.

You're doing great all, keep up the positive thinking!

What a great post Gemma, it seems we are all different. I have tried over a period of 5 years to quit and have used patches gum and Hypnotherapy some time ago. I am almost 2 years smoke free and this time was on Champix at half dose.

This was the best by far and has no nicotine connected to them I have had to keep in touch my GP whilst on them as this is the criteria in Australia. Of course now on fresh air and love of life and very happy to say, I haven't looked back. We are all so fortunate.
