Hanging out with smokers

For me just hanging out with smokers when they smoke (restaurants, pubs, work) helps me a lot. I have smoked for 43 years and going cold turkey for the 2nd time in my life. The first time was around 20 years ago and lasted 6 months. Fingers crossed this time around.

Adriano, Welcome to this forum, let us know whether you are on NRT or going cold Turkey, it takes great strength of mind to have another go but it it takes work (learning and reading) on this site or in outside help from Reading Alan Carr "Easy way to stop smoking" to Videos one by Nasia Davos on u-tube called "How to be a happy smoker" this means you will need to get the mindset to maintain your quit this time.
A mantra of NOPE (not one puff ever) either said or noted every day will definitely help in the long term for any situation you have been in before so you will not stray, this means there is no reason to cross your fingers, you will succeed. Stay close to this forum

A great choice Adriano. I also quit cold turkey pretty much out of the blue after reading some stories and believing that I could. I think we all tried at some point decades ago to quit, but that was before the internet. There is so much to read and learn and so much support given by forums such as this. This one is the best IMO and many others! You are no longer taking a stab in the dark, but can make your quit plans and know that we have all been there too. My best advice is to read and learn and believe that you too can quit. You will be greatly rewarded.
