hi all in the I can quit community .I am now over 1 year quit ,I was a smoker for 44years ,I quit on the 21/10/18 .now I can begin my journey as a non smoker. I follow the nope mantra .My quit was not as bad as I thought it would be ,but I know that if I get trapped again I will not be so lucky . I have gained so many benefits from not smoking ,the best is the freedom ,you can go anywhere with anyone at anytime ,no need to think where can I smoke, do I have plenty of smokes to last. The money you save is also great , I have my ash money tin ,when the bills come in now I no longer panic, I know I can cover them , I also am able to save for special things .I would like to say to all the new members starting your journey you can do this , it all begins with you and your mindset .To all the old members I would like to say thank you, I come here often and read the stories it helps so much CHEERS TO ALL .

Way to go tough as and I am so pleased to hear that you are lurking behind the scenes and staying strong in your resolve. I really do think that forums like this do help more than one imagines. Even Nrt packages advise users to seek counselling with their product to ensure better results. Knowing that you are not alone and that someone can commensurate with you i should think helps when the chips are down. Seeing that others stay the course and find their way to freedom is great incentive that you too can hold that belief.
Sometimes i bet you didn't think you were so tough, but as you point out the mindset is key. Quitting smoking need not be feared , nor is it as hard as we have been led to believe. Believe in yourself, obey NOPE and enjoy freedom and the many benefits that you richly deserve!

Well done tough as, you have listed all of the positives we have come to on our journey its unbelievable isn't it. Yes me too for the nope Mantra (Not one puff ever) because it is so easy to get overconfident at some stage along the way.
I am so glad you read the posts it makes it worthwhile somehow, to think others might be gaining a better understanding.
Congratulations and post again when you feel the need at any time.
