Hey guys I’m day 2 and I’m wondering if anyone else experienced being really tired and headaches.. how long does this usually last for? Not giving up! But just need some advice.

schedule 18 Jun 2019

Hi Lanaricki. Congrats for giving up. Yes I was tired no headaches though. Mine lasted around 4 days. I rested a lot in between meals too. This was not the first time for me so I knew what to expect. Gradually start to exercise if you can this will give you more strength and motivation. Read as much as you can through what others experience as we are all different. Keep going.

Hello Lanaricki. Everyone is different and makes changes to habits while quitting smoking. Did you cut back too much on coffee or other caffeine sources? Nicotine is said to diminish the effect of caffeine, yet I know that I was subject to caffeine withdrawal and my headache would stop once making a coffee. This however, was prior to this journey. Chocolate, alcohol, energy drinks, and other things are sources of caffeine as well to consider.

Exercise is also said to invigorate you rather than tire you. Experiment with subtle changes and see if it helps.

I am now at day 30 wahooo! The first two weeks are fairly up and down! I experienced bad headaches and insomnia! But these have eased dramatically and I can honestly say that the excitement over never wanting a cigarette again helped me deal with these withdrawal symptoms! Stay strong, you can do this
