- Quitting is both difficult and easy for me
Quitting is both difficult and easy for me

I started smoking since I was 12-year-old and had attempted quitting more than 30 times.
It was the most challenging and arduous task I have ever undertaken.
Quitting was difficult because I believed that I had given up a real 'pleasure' or 'enjoyment.'
I deprived myself of a thing that I thought would give me 'happiness' it was no wonder why I envied smokers.
But as soon as I understood that smoking wasn't the source of pleasure but the source of all my problems then quitting was relatively easy.
The notorious withdrawal effects of nicotine were nothing after I understood this (I'm not exaggerating), it was all in my mind.
Invest in your mindset before going cold-turkey otherwise, it would be easy to fall into depression and relapse.
I hope I have been of service.
Thanks,
Jeremiah

You have been of great service Jeremiah. We advocate reading as much as possible here along with the understanding of what the chemicals do to our bodies. You now have the understanding and experience after trying so much. Its great to know you kept on going with each new try. Thanks

Thanks for your wide advice Jeramiah Say. The proper Mindset is vital to becoming a happy non-smoker. Knowledge and understanding brings your mind to a state of comprehension and acceptance to tolerate this journey and see it through with success. Learning to truly WANT to quit is why I wrote my story called "If You've Given Up, Giving Up. Try This!" which encompasses some facts and baby steps to consider the possibilities.
It is not an exaggeration to say it was easy to quit, because it can be. Embrace the changes to come, do not fear and resist. Retrain the mind to accept.
I am glad that you finally found your way Jegemiah Say, and I trust that you will read Allan Carr (Which I also posted for all to enjoy absolutely free) to reinforce your quit. His writing language and stories make it easy to see smoking in a different light. Everyone should read it. Please read before that link is gone like the old one.

I love your web site. Great information and it really is easy to quit with the right mindset. I did and also tried to get people to understand their relationship with nicotine prior to quitting with my "backwards quit" in "If you've Givin Up Giving Up, Try This!"You can actually taste the poison in them once you stop deluding yourself that you enjoy them. Spend one on one time with your "friend" while doing absolutely nothing gets pretty boring. Realizing how much of a prisoner you have become becomes apparent. Knowing it is all in the mind is the eye opener. Embracing and Accepting this journey whole heartedly makes it easier than you could ever imagine.
I hope others will explore your link and broaden their minds. Knowledge is power. Mindset is Key.

Hi Happiness,
Do you mind enlightening me on the "backwards quit" in "If you've Givin Up Giving Up, Try This!" please?
I would love to find out more about that as it seems intriguing.
I agree with your point that accepting the truth and embracing it can make the journey to becoming smoke-free a tad easier.
By the way, thanks for checking out my site.
"Knowledge is power. Mindset is key" <-- kudos!
